GMMTV’s Second Girls’ Love Series
GMMTV’s first GL series, 23.5 When the Earth Is Spinning Around, was originally scheduled to air last year but was postponed to early this year, eventually concluding in May. One of the two new GL series planned for this year, Pluto, released a brand-new trailer after nearly five months of no GL content. It was announced that the series would premiere on October 19, 2024, at 8:30 PM (GMT+7) on GMMTV’s official YouTube channel. New episodes are released every Saturday at the same time.
Pluto stars GMMTV actresses Namtan (Tipnaree Weerawatnodom) and Film (Rachanun Mahawan). Namtan takes on the challenge of playing twin sisters, Ai-oom and Ob-oom, showcasing her versatile acting skills.
Story Synopsis
The story follows the younger twin sister, Ob-oom, who gets into a car accident on her wedding day. The groom dies, and she falls into a coma. After the incident, the elder sister, Ai-oom, tries to fulfill Ob-oom’s wish by breaking up with another girl, May. However, when Ai-oom meets May, she discovers that May is blind and has mistaken her for Ob-oom. Unable to bring herself to break up with her, Ai-oom decides to continue pretending to be Ob-oom and stays by May’s side.
The series consists of 12 episodes. As of now, 8 episodes have aired. Since episode 7, the show’s popularity has skyrocketed, and several key mysteries in the storyline are gradually being revealed. Fans say they can’t wait to see how it ends. Based on the release schedule, the final episode is expected to air on Saturday, January 4, 2025. If a wrap-up fan event is held, it’s likely to be a sold-out show.
